IT: Tell us something about your child. How do you encourage your child?
Parent : Both my children are talented. They have an observant mind. I sent them to Chennai for higher studies. I used to encourage them regularly. I always believed that they would succeed.
IT: What is he/she best at? How did you find it? Will you IT recommend your child to choose their career on the same?
Parent: My 1st child has good knowledge in Computer related things. But he did B.A Economics to stay at home. My 2nd child wanted to be an Engineer. But he did BSc. Chemistry.
IT : Did your children enjoy studies at school? If yes, have you IT ever asked them “what have you learnt today”?
Parent : Yes. Daily I used to ask them what happened today. What they studied today.
IT: What do you expect from the school?
Parent : Mainly discipline. The teachers should teach a lot other than the syllabus. In chennai there are frequent parent-teacher meetings.I am not sure about Paramakkudi. If they do this it will be good.
IT : How do you find the current education system? Is mark IT based evaluation is good to measure your kid’s knowledge?
Parent: I am satisfied with this system. But the evaluation is not fair. Some get good marks some low. But everyone has talent. So we need to identify their talents and bring it out.
IT : A survey says Indian parents don’t encourage their IT children in sports based carrier. Your comments about it?
Parent: I am encouraging my grandchild but I was not able to do this for my child. In India Sports and its chances to get in should be familiarized.
IT: Your comments about IT(Ilaiya Thalaimurai)?
Parent : It is a really good effort. But give some more proper ideas to students.Guide them to study as per their financial constraints and the current market.
