Obviously it is not for sale, but is on the verge of extinction. Human race is something that denotes the entire human species on the planet and not a typical race among humans where one tries to overcome the other one’s improvement.
A survey on ‘what is humanity?’ in social sites brought out only a single answer: To help others.
Humanity isn’t a habit that develops over a course of time but it is a part of our character. It involves not only helping people but also not hindering the people who are helping others.
Where can humanity be found? Apart from the hearts of good ones, it shows itself involuntarily. Normal people feel and express themselves on acts that should be acted upon.
We people, isolate ourselves from the outside world and it is the first step to lose bonds between people and to fall into the spell of loneliness.
Does it satisfy the purpose? Treating others the way you are expected to be treated also falls under the category of humanity.
If you think wearing a T-shirt with quotes of being human and human being will bring you humanity and project to the world, then I am sorry… there are a lot of things to be done and justified.
This generation which specializes in redefining everything starting from our beliefs to the technical advances. Why not redefine humanity?
Let’s redefine it from being human to being humane.

They say ‘Money makes many things’ but Humanity is not a sympathy to be earned. Humanity doesn’t expect anything in return. A giver of love and respect never gets anything in return but is satisfied with the heart that shows a smile making one’s day a great one.
“Love and Compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, Humanity cannot survive”
– Dalai Lama
We have lots of NGO’s to save birds, animals but a very few for human, I am not talking about Old Age homes. Connect with people via hearts and hear the inner soul of yours. I bet you will love it.
Do not drop a penny to any people near temples or bus stops, it is not humanity, you are not helping them but you are encouraging them to beg and not to work.
Instead, save a penny a day and when you have a wholesome amount, offer things to the real needy. Remember you will not return back with an empty hand but a heart filled with joy and wide smile as a gratitude.
Sow a seed of humanity in your heart today, see how it grows with interconnections tomorrow.

Have faith and believe “We can’t help everyone but everyone can help someone.”
Let us all remove the head set which is being treated as a part of the body and try to inculcate bonds between people.
Let us not make “how to be humane?” a part in soft skills training centres’ agenda or an important interview question.
