BE PASSIONATE……
Whatever idea you are going to work on, make sure you are extremely passionate about that idea meaning that you believe in it yourself. Start knowing your target audience before spending a penny. Researching the market scenario and knowing the demand of the product will help you in identifying the current ballgame. Basically try giving people what they want.
DON’T BE AFRAID TO MAKE MISTAKES……
Which means you cannot be innovative; you cannot build a new solution without trying to do that in a new way. New way will end up in mistakes. Once they are recognized fix them very quickly. Doing the same thing in a wrong way over and over becomes a failure.
CONTINUOUS SENSE OF URGENCY………
A sense of urgency is a powerful tool for anyone wanting to win in a turbulent world that will only continue to move faster. You have to hold on to continuous sense of urgency even at the beginning when you don’t have competition. In corollary to that as well is don’t spend a year planning what you are going to do. “Start doing as you are doing, you build your plan and change your plan”.
FEAR OF FAILURE…………
Failure is a part of life, and maybe even a bigger part of business. If fear of failure is holding you back concentrate on weakness to reach success. Now that you have started a new business, brace yourself for failure. Sounds a little pessimistic – doesn’t it? Well, every entrepreneur needs to be prepared for the worst.
TURNING FAILURE INTO SUCCESS……..
- Instead of viewing failure as something to be avoided, turn it into a “stepping-stone” on the path to success and gratification. In other words: Success is the destination. Failure is how you get there.
- Intentionally increasing failure is the basis for the “Go for No” concept. “Go for No” means the more people tell you “no”, the closer you will get to ultimate success.
- “Set no goals”. Everyone sets success goals. But how about setting goals for the number of times we fail? The other exciting aspect of this strategy is how it keeps people “in the game” when they’re “red hot.” If all you have is yes goals and then you slow down (or quit) when you’re successful, the hot streak ends. But if you keep going when the yeses of life are falling at your feet, the sky is the limit!
- Celebrate your failures, not just your successes.
- If failure is a vehicle that can take you to success, then courage is the fuel! Courage is a muscle. And, like any muscle, you must develop and strengthen it with lots of exercise.
Just like the great Yoda once said, “Do, or do not. There is no try.” You may fail at some things in your life, but you’ll fail at life if you don’t continually try and do new things.
Intentionally increase your failure rate, set “no” goals, celebrate your failures and see courage as a muscle, and you’ll significantly increase your success rate. The nature of being an entrepreneur means that you fully embrace ambiguity and are comfortable with being challenged regularly. Choosing this career path is completely irrational because the odds of succeeding are dismal, but most succeed because of their unwavering belief, laser focus on delivering and persistence. It is a riveting roller coaster of emotions with tremendous highs and at times, difficult lows, but one thing that always helped through the ups and downs is to connect with some of the greatest minds.
Leadership, like entrepreneurship, takes courage and the ability to remain comfortable in times of discomfort. The more you can cultivate being at ease during times of challenge, the greater your life and your leadership will be.
You need a big vision and some lofty ambition to change the world, even if the world you aspire to change is only your own local community. Dream big and take action towards those ambitions. These all never happen overnight. Continuous determination, accepting the uncertainty or failure and tackling them with right decisions will take you all places. This part is sowed in such a way you might learn from this and make fruitful success as an entrepreneur.
